2012年度第32届全英音乐奖（The Brit Awards）各奖项提名人选于英国时间1月12日晚6时在伦敦的IndigO2举行的提名音乐会上正式揭晓，英国新晋人气才子德·希兰(Ed Sheeran)一共得到四项提名，是本届全英音乐奖中获得提名最多的音乐人。在他之后，英国灵歌天后阿黛勒（Adele）以及英国人气歌手Jessie J各自得到了三项提名。
这位英国新晋人气才子Ed Sheeran拿到的四项提名分别是“英国最佳男艺人”、“英国最具突破艺人”、“英国最佳单曲”(提名单曲《The A Team》)和“英国最佳专辑”(提名专辑《+》)。在最佳专辑奖中，Ed Sheeran的这张大碟将与酷玩乐队（Coldplay）的《Mylo Xyloto》、阿黛勒的《21》、Florence + the Machine组合的《Ceremonials》以及另类创作型女歌手PJ Harvey的《Let England Shake》竞争。
除了Ed Sheeran获提名较多之外，阿黛勒也在今年的全英音乐奖提名名单上表现不俗，分别凭借人气专辑《21》以及收录其中的单曲《Someone Like You》拿下了“英国最佳女艺人”、 “英国最佳单曲”和“英国最佳专辑”等三项提名。至于人气歌手Jessie J也拿下了“英国最佳女艺人”、“英国最具突破艺人”以及“英国最佳单曲”(提名单曲《Price Tag》)等。
与此同时，英国独立音乐界红人Florence+the Machine、酷玩乐队(Clodplay)、Emeli Sandé、今年入围格莱美最佳新人提名Bon Iver、英国歌手Aloe Blacc等音乐人都分别得到了两项提名。
在此之前，独立歌手Emeli Sandé已经确认将被授予“乐评人选择奖”(Critics' Choice award)，而英伦摇滚乐队Blur也刚刚被全英音乐奖组委会授予杰出音乐贡献奖（Outstanding Contribution To Music）表彰这支乐队在音乐乐坛所作的贡献。值得一提的是，英伦摇滚Blur乐队也将作为今年全英音乐奖颁奖典礼的表演嘉宾，而颁奖典礼将于2月21日在O2体育馆举行，英国独立电视1台(ITV1)将全程直播当晚的颁奖礼。
